The Wild Ones – First Workshop A Success!

A contribution from Sarah Ann Loreth

The Wild Ones have made their way down the Oregon and California coast to sunny Los Angeles!

On July 19, we hosted our first workshop in a beautiful park, Hoyt Arboretum in Portland. Nine people attended the 5 hour workshop where we went over our creative processes, talked about how to stay inspired and played some energizing games to get the participants moving.

The afternoon was spent amongst giant trees, shooting photos and helping each other try new techniques and skills. Participants shot with two provided models and used each other to pose and assist in photo-shoots.

After the workshop, we drove through southern Oregon and along the California coast to San Francisco where we were able to visit with the staff at Flickr Headquarters. After a few days in the city it was time for some real “Wild Ones” time in Yosemite Park.

Washington DC – August 19th
, New York City – August 24th
