The garden gnome gets all the glory, but the truth is that it isn’t the only species of toy that’s been racking up frequent-flyer miles. Seeking to evade the limelight and possible resulting repercussions, toys of all circles have been stealthy in their globetrotting. When spotted in airports and bus terminals, they typically act as if inadvertently left behind by their owners.
If you chance on a toy amidst one of its travels, you can submit your evidence here or here. Don’t bother prodding it with questions; it will most likely act coy.

We’ve made it a little bit easier for you to order prints on Flickr.com! You’ll see a new “Order Prints” button in the Organizr when you open up a set or collect some photos together in a batch. Click that button and you’ll be able to order photo prints of those photos you’ve chosen, or order any number of specialty products from our print partners QOOP and Moo.
Take special note of two new additions to Moo’s product line, Postcards and Greeting Cards. The holidays are fast upon us, and wouldn’t your photos make some great holiday cards for friends and family?

There’s something whimsical and unexpected about bright, colorful stripes. Much like a sugar rush or infectious baby laugh, they tickle the mind back to a kinetic, child-like state.

It’s not that often that a FlickrBlog post requires a warning, but we feel that it’s fair to let you know that cube crafting is highly addictive. That said, we’re enchanted with HP, our latest “Do More” partner and their Photo Cube template tool.
That’s team Flickr featured above with their cubes. If the cube bug bites you, we hope that you’ll share your creations in HP’s Printing your Flickr photos group.
Some helpful tips for printing your photocube at home:
1. Use a good quality colour printer
2. Use the right paper - brochure or flyer stock is terrific!
3. If you are making a photo cube, cut the cube out first, then used a straight edge to score the dotted lines before you follow the folding instructions.
4. The template creates a five sided cube. If you’d like to add a sixth side, make a second cube and slide them together (they would make excellent holiday packaging for small gifts!).

That time of year is fast approaching when we’ll send our season’s greetings to friends and family. If you’re like me, you’re more than a little bit picky and regularly underwhelmed with what you see online or in stores.
Our fabulous friends at MOO have come to the rescue with their People Powered Holiday Card Store and the launch of the First Annual Super-Duper Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwansaa, Rohatsu, And Yule, Card Competition 2007 (try saying that five times fast!).
“The Holidays are all about sharing. So this year, with the help of Flickr, MOO is creating a People-Powered Holiday Card Store, so the whole community can share their favorite Holiday-themed images and make amazing Holiday Cards that are truly one of a kind.”
$1 from every pack sold will go to Médecins Sans Frontières and there are some pretty sweet prizes for those who choose to participate by contributing images to the Card Store.
Check out MOO’s Super-Duper Holiday Card Competition for the full details on how to participate.
