Okay, these are cool. Make sure you check out the original sizes. Everyone’s faces show so much more when viewed large. (Especially Harry) The British Monarchy has also uploaded some more great candid shots from the wedding day like this one,

And lastly the crowd,

Again, make sure you check out the original size. The smiley faces and the people in the fountain are totally worth it.

“Early last summer, new Icebox member Chris Menz suggested that we cubes publish a “book for good” with our photographs. Everyone was excited. Just as the project began, we suffered a major setback as our good friend & fellow photographer Dave Hohler passed away. Instantly, we collectively decided to dedicate the book to Dave, use one of his photos for the cover and donate all proceeds to cancer charities.
We’d each contribute 3 photos that had survived the rigors of The Icebox. Then an editor would choose about 70 photos, carefully choosing images– 1 or 2 from each contributor– that would pair well with it’s match on the opposite page. Through many fits & bursts, it all came together, with a dozen members making substantial contributions– creating the back cover, designing the layout, writing essays, editing, proof reading and coordinating. A true collaborative effort. And now, it’s ready for order.”
To find out more about the Icebox group’s cool collaborative creation check out this discussion thread.

In Japan the epicenter of last month’s earthquake was located just off Matsushima Bay. Its pine-covered islands are considered one of Japan’s scenic treasures. The tsunami destroyed nearby cities, but amazingly Matsushima was spared. (via NPR)
To see more, try a search for Matsushima Bay.
