Lunar Eclipse

Last night, a lunar eclipse was visible in many places all across the world. This astronomical phenomenon takes place when earth moves between the sun and the moon, casting its enormous shadow on the lunar surface. Several Flickr members witnessed the event, taking impressive photos of which you can find many in the lunar eclipse search results, showing different stages of the eclipse, and if you have taken some photos yourself, why not share them with others in one of our many moon groups.

In case you have missed it this time, stay tuned for the next lunar eclipse that will take place in 2015.
