Causing a dozen deaths in one weekend, a deluge in Europe has forced thousands of people living close to waterways and rivers into a state of emergency. Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Poland have been severely impacted. Amid evacuations and dire efforts to contain flooding, hopes are high that the worst of this disaster has passed, stemming from the rain-free forecast that should help drop water levels.
