The idea of designing inflatable environments to display the beauty of light and color started with a structure called “Eggopolis” — a project built in 1990 that led to the creation of the Architects of Air (AoA) company. Today, AoA staff have designed and constructed six luminariums, or walk-in mazes of domes and tunnels. The plastic monuments have been featured in hundreds of events and are currently taking tours through locations worldwide.
