They join with 8 very diverse sets of photographs dating back to the birth of the State of Queensland in 1859 to the present day. All the photos come from the John Oxley Library, the heritage library within the State Library of Queensland.

These images offer an insight into the many aspects of Queensland history and life, to more grand occasions, such as a photo of Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith on arrival in Brisbane after his record breaking flight, and a picture of Sir Walter Jackson Cooper welcoming Queen Elizabeth II during the royal visit in 1954.

There are also photographs of daily sports and recreation, such as this photo of crocodile hunters in the 1930s.
