I’m standing in my office next to Andy Tiller, VP Products and Marketing, from Cognima, a London-based mobile software company and he’s showing me ShoZu a great application for posting to Flickr from your mobile phone.
It allows easy one-click upload, automatically resumes interrupted uploads, saves bandwidth compared to email (read: it’s cheaper if you’re paying for bandwidth), and let’s you add a tags and description right from your phone. You can even upload first and then add tags and a description later on. Best of all, it’s free.
(On the other side, the set up process is a little more complicated
than it will eventually be and they are still testing – more features
to come.)
Sign up for the ShoZu trial program* — they’ll check out the combination of your phone and network and send instructions for download and setup if ShoZu works for you (they’ll send invites back during UK business hours).
(*ShoZu is Symbian only for the moment — Java and Windows Mobile versions are in the works — and currently supports the following phones: Nokia 3650, 3660, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680/2, 7610, 7650; Siemens SX1; Sony Ericsson P800, P900, P910).
