Flickr and Yahoo are excited to participate in this year’s San Francisco Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29th, where we will have a strong contingent of staff and friends. We’re wrapping a San Francisco Cable Car in Flickr colors and we’ll be cheering on one of the most iconic San Francisco celebrations of the year. If you’ve never come out for the day, you don’t know what you’re missing!
As part of the event, we can invite a number of Flickr community members to walk the route with us and take pictures from the best vantage point of all — inside the parade.
If you’re interested in walking with us, please send a Flickr Mail to Matthew Roth on the Flickr Community team. Please also share a brief paragraph on why you look forward to participating in the event. We have limited space and will include folks on a first-come, first-served basis.
We’ll share more information about where we’ll stage before the parade and when we’ll gather next week, but please note that this event will involve lots of walking. There’s only limited space on the cable car, so please expect to walk several miles during the day.
We can’t wait to show our Flickr pride and dance our way through town!
