Concept Collaboration: “When We Fall”

Hello! This message goes out to all photographers, collaborators, and Flickr friends around the world! Last month, for Concept Collaboration, we collaborated on the theme “When We Fall,” or how we pick ourselves back up again after we tumble down.

Currently, 3.4K photos have been submitted to the Concept Collaboration Flickr group, and we love seeing every single one of them! We encourage you to participate in this growing community of collaborators around the world and with our monthly concepts as they become available.

Ten Million Fireflies

With Concept Collaboration, our hope is to inspire others to live a better artistic life through community and collaboration. Falling and failing is a normal part of everyone’s lives. Unfortunately, we sometimes have a hard time picking ourselves back up. While looking through the images for this month’s collaboration, we hope that you find hope if you’ve fallen, and the strength to get back up again.

Here are some of our favorite images from awesome Collaborators and Flickr members from last month:

The Desolate Hills
Let it all out

Each month, Concept Collaboration seeks out one photographer with the most creative and promising approach to his or her art. This photographer wins a camera bag from our incredible sponsors at Vanguard, a company supporting photographers around the world with innovative camera gear. In addition, we feature this photographer in our monthly Flickr blog post, and ask them for special interviews about their work. This month, we’ve chosen Mario Salvenmoser as our most creative collaborator! Mario, your image “Release” is fantastic!

Release

Visually, “Release” is an incredible representation of what happens when we look towards the positive side of failing and falling. Letting go of the bad, releasing your emotions, and being caught up in the light of positive growth from the low point we encountered before. Great work, Mario.

The Concept Collaboration movement believes in a ripple-effect of friendships, business partnerships, and new ideas growing forth. After 8 months of meeting up, we strongly believe our in-person meetups achieve this purpose. Our most recent meetups were in Buffalo, New York on August 19th and Curitiba, Brazil on August 24. Sign up for future meetups here.
