Singaporeans love their National Day. Every year on August 9, there’s a big parade at the National Stadium or at the Padang. But this year is an exception because the country is celebrating its 42th birthday at Marina Bay! Yes, the entire show on water! We transformed our most scenic water.

As part of tradition, Singaporeans are given sneak peeks into National Day Parade show. Though the President and Ministers arenít in attendance, the crowd still experiences the euphoric atmosphere, a grand show culminating with a fireworks display against the spectacular backdrop of the bay.

Once, Kowloon King’s “pedigree” was everywhere in Hong Kong - decorating the bridges, stone pillars, and electric boxes just round the street corner of our homes. Not too many of his artpieces are left for now, most being wiped away.

We treasure, and we shall all miss 曾灶財 - 九龍皇帝 - tsang graffiti.

We’re pleased to announce another round of slideshow enhancements! They’ve been a while in coming, but we think you’ll like them.

• First off, we’ve added slideshows for search results! You’ll see the new slideshow link in the upper right of all search result pages.
• Second, it used to be that If you linked to a slideshow from a photo page, the slideshow would start at the beginning of the group of photos. Now, it’ll more sensibly start at the photo you were looking at! In a similar way, if you link to a slideshow from a page that lists a bunch of photos, the slideshow will start at the first photo on that page.
• Another bonus: you can now run a slideshow in forward or reverse.
• And finally, you will now see a preview of a photo when you mouseover a thumbnail along the bottom.
