We all scream for ice cream!

Ever wonder what an ice-cream truck looked like in the 1930s? We unearthed this fantastic photo from The State Library of New South Wales, which shows a Peters Ice Cream truck and a cyclist alongside. According to the ad on the truck, ice cream was apparently “The Health Food of the Nation!”

We’ve collected some cool, vintage ice-cream photos from The Flickr Commons on our Pinterest board “Ice Cream Then and Now.”

Many of the photos we pinned are from The Flickr Commons – showcasing historic treasures from many of the world’s great photography archives. One reason why The Commons is so rich is because the Flickr community has tagged these images and offered connections to other resources, helping to tell the stories around the photos. So what are you waiting for? Go shape history!
