*UPDATE AS OF MARCH 12, 2020*
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the growing concern and spread of COVID-19 and have decided that it is in the best interest of our communities to officially postpone the upcoming Flickr Worldwide Photowalk Day on April 4th, 2020.
We would rather keep you and others around you safe and healthy so you can take even more photos and share them on Flickr. Once we have determined a new date for this event, we will be sure to announce it as soon as we can.
Thank you for your understanding and we’ll still see you and your work on Flickr!

Get ready to join our Flickr Worldwide Photowalk Day on April 4th. Hosted by some of our most passionate members around the world, this day brings together photographers and enthusiasts of all skill levels to meet up, socialize, shoot together, and explore their region in a new way.
How to participate
There are two ways to get involved:
- Join one of the existing photowalks led by other Flickr members of your local community. Over 20 cities in different regions have already signed up. Check out the Flickr Worldwide Photowalks group to see if there is already an event in your area, and join the existing groups and events for more information.
- Sign up as a local host for your city. If your city isn’t on the list yet and you would like to host one, go ahead and add the details—including a link to the Flickr, Meetup or Facebook group where you’ll be coordinating with other participants—to the comment section of this thread so that we add it to the master list of photowalk locations! You can create a theme for your local walk (or not!) and we’ll provide some assets to use for promoting it! Remember, the most important aspect is to get together with other photographers and have fun!
After the event, add your photos to the Flickr Worldwide Photowalk group using the tags #FlickrPhotowalk and #FlickrPhotowalkDay and we’ll help highlight some of our favorites in our social media channels and the Flickr blog. We look forward to seeing your work, and we can’t wait to hear about your experience!
