We are less than a week away from Spring Polaroid Week, aka ‘RoidWeek’ so it’s time to get your instant film gear in order. RoidWeek kicks off on April 21st and runs through April 26th, but you can join this year’s Polaroid Week 2024 Flickr group now, in preparation!
Flickr members have been celebrating instant film at this biannual congregation of instant film enthusiasts since 2006. RoidWeek is community-run with participants around the globe sharing Polaroid pics along with other forms of instant film during a week of community engagement.
A few rules before you get started:
- The group requests that you submit photos that have not been posted to Flickr before. They are looking for something newly uploaded to Flickr during the designated RoidWeek time period.
- There is a maximum of sharing TWO photos per day during the 6 day celebration. So as you are selecting your instant film favorites, remember that the total you can share during this event is 12 photos.
- This is a film only group. No Faux-laroids are accepted.
- And make sure to engage in the group. Sharing your photos is an important part but you are also encouraged to fave, comment and interact with other group members and build community around a shared love of instant film!
