As noted on Metafilter, photos of the Australian Embassy bombing in Jakarta appeared on Flickr before any of the major news services had gotten it up on their sites. It’s unclear if the original photo was taken by the person who posted it or not, but within an hour the photo pictured above, taken by ranwar, was uploaded, and another one too.
