We are continuing our travels across the United States, moving east toward Florida over the last week and a half. We have enjoyed the beautiful landscapes of Zion National Park, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde and White Sands National Monument and met so many wonderful people along the way!
A huge part of The Wild One`s mantra and journey is to celebrate and give back to the photography community that exists on Flickr. Through our sponsors, both Flickr and Coca-Cola we have been able to share happiness and pass along our message to so many people along our two month journey. In Dallas, we were able to fully experience the joy of sharing happiness, everything`s bigger in Texas even the happiness!
We`ve been so fortunate to get to know so many talented photographers through Flickr over the years that we`ve been using it and two of those photographers are Justin and Jordan Kuder, brothers from Centralia Illinois. After planning our route and realizing we weren`t going to be visiting the Midwest, we decided to share some happiness with two deserving young photographers and we flew Jordan and Justin to our workshop in Dallas. They spent 3 fun-filled day with us, playing mini-golf and bumper boats, participating in our workshop and exploring the Dallas area. We`re so happy to have had the opportunity to be able to include them in our wokrshops and extend the share happiness message of our tour!
The workshop in Dallas was held at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum, specifically in an Alice In Wonderland themed garden. Participants were busy enjoying the warm weather, shooting photos inside the park`s gardens, fountains and walkways.
We still have spaces available in our upcoming workshops:
Tampa – August 12th,
Atlanta – August 16th (meetup, not a workshop!)
Washington DC – August 19th,
New York City – August 24th
To reserve a spot at a workshop please email us at thewildones@rocketmail.com.
