We’re only a few days away from the #Flickr10 Global Day of Photo Walks and we’re thrilled to see so many Flickr members preparing for the big day. Photowalks represent a core part of the best photo community in the world, reuniting us with old friends and introducing us to new ones.
On Sunday, May 4th, participants from more than 60 regions in 20 countries on 5 continents will convene in their city or town (or in one case a national cemetery) to take photos and make connections. There are meetups in Bangalore, India, Helsinki, Finland, Roma, Italia, São Paulo, Brazil, Reno, NV, USA, Guadalajara, México, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Lahore, Pakistan and many more. All told, this will be the largest day of Flickr photos walks, with more than 1,000 people expected to take part around the world.
You can join a photo walk or start your own event on the #Flickr10 Photo Walks group. If you don’t see an event and you don’t have time to organize your own, you can do a photo walk of one! Just go out and take pictures, then be sure to tag them #Flickr10photowalk to have your photos automatically added to the group.
We hope to see you this weekend!
