“The Dragon’s Tail. Ponta de São Lourenço, Madeira. The easternmost point of the Atlantic island of Madeira protrudes out to form a magnificent winding tail, replete with vertiginous cliffs and blood-red soil. Known as Ponta de São Lourenço, it’s a popular hiking destination on the island, and there is a trail to land’s end. The best spot for photographers, however, is atop a steep promontory looking out east with views of both sides of the peninsula. Here, the otherworldly landscape is reminiscent of a dragon’s tail. At sunrise, there are few places more spectacular – and more precipitous.” – Daniel Burton
“Scenery of our planet Earth – a quiet little waterfall in a national park.” – Brad
See you next week!
