Street photography captures fleeting moments that reveal how someone saw the world at a particular time. We often find ourselves sharing photographers’ current views of their cities and neighborhoods through our In Frame with Flickr posts, but today we’ve decided to take a little trip back in time.

Street photography can show us many frozen moments in time, something as nostalgic as an old school ice cream truck with the neighborhood kids gathering around but it’s also a way to preserve history, our communities, our challenges and lessons learned. Some of these scenes may feel familiar while others show us things we’ve never seen.
