There’s No Place Like Home

Starting today, we’re rolling out a sneak preview of the new Flickr home page.

Wait, maybe everybody knows that the best part of Flickr is keeping up with your friends and family via their photostreams. No, the best part of Flickr is discovering a wide world of amazing places through geotagged photographs. No, it’s the groups! No, it’s the stats!…

Whatever the best part of Flickr is for you, your new home page now surfaces much more of the action going on around you on Flickr. More of the amazing photos, groups, and interesting tidbits that show up on Flickr every day. And while we were at it, we made it easier for you to turn down the volume on things you don’t want to see, or just find some help.

We’re excited to share the changes with you, so during the next few weeks we’d like to invite you to take a sneak peek at the new Flickr homepage on your own account. To get started, just find and clickity-click the following message box at the bottom of your existing homepage:

We’ve made many changes to Flickr over the years (and will be making many more in the years to come), and your new homepage is an evolution to reflect them and to better fit the variety of our members. We know that change can be surprising at first. That’s why we’ve opened your new homepage up a bit early so you can kick the tires and check under the hood. We look forward to your feedback to help make the transition smoother when we roll the new home page out for all our members in the coming weeks.

So what are you waiting for? Go and take a look!
