I received the Premiere Issue of Make Magazine in the mail today, and I have to say that it the Best Magazine Ever. Some of the things inside that you can make include a $14 Steadicam-type mount for your camera, which apparently rivals the $10,000 Steadicam brand Steadiam; a mount for your camera that enables you to attach it to kites and thereby take aerial photographs (there are some gorgeous examples in the magazine) — and dozens of other amazing things that I am sure Flickr members with a little DIY streak in them would absolutely love.

There is, of course, a MAKE magazine group on Flickr, where Philip Torrone of Engaget fame has uploaded photos of an amazingly cool hand-powered crank-handle iShuffle charger that he built.

Bravo, Make magazine! Everybody go subscribe now. Sorry for the crappy cameraphone picture, I couldn’t wait to post about this. This is a really beautifully designed magazine too, the photo doesn’t do it justice.
