  • Hey, Newcastle! Topsy’s been hiding small arrows around the city and posting clues as to their location in a project entitled quiver. On February 21st, a billboard featuring 55 photographs from Flickr members who participated in the quiver group in the Byker Metro Station. On February 25th 3pm,the NorthEast Flickrmeet will gather at the same station.
  • The 365 Day Project challenges people to post one self-portrait every day for a year. Here’s a taste of Super Bowl Sunday within the Flickrverse.
  • The deadline for the for the National Press Photographer’s Association Best of
    Photojournalism 2007 contest
    is fast approaching! (Hint.) The contest includes categories for "Independent" photojournalism sites and Photoblogs. (Hint, hint!). You have until Friday February 9 to strut your stuff. (Disclosure: I’m a judge.)
  • You still have a few days to enter Craft’s "Recycle Your Heart" Valentine’s Day Card Contest where you can
    express your true love by creating a card made from recycled materials. You can see the entries here.
  • The Flickr community beautifull captured the passage of the McNaught Comet a couple of weekends ago. Check out Striatic’s curation in this Flickr Central topic or the McNaught cluster for photos.
  • Polaroid Dog Run: "Early on in my career in film, I had to carry a polaroid camera around
