Looking for new content on Flickr, but want a more personalized ‘explore’ experience? Look no farther than ffffl*ckr, an application developed by Jędrek Kostecki that popped up in the App Garden recently.

After you authenticate with your Flickr account, a sprinkling of your favorites appears on the page. But the really cool feature is that when you click an image, a random sprinkling of that photographer’s favorites appears. It’s a personal recommendation system for surfacing new content on Flickr from photographers you already admire or trust. You can add to your favorites right from within the website and, at any time, be taken to the Flickr photo page to see more information or to leave comments. We’re quite enthralled with this app at FlickrHQ!

A similar application exists for use on Google Wave, called FavJumpr, by Mark Probst. If you’re on the Wave, you’ll want to surf this and watch the magic unfold as favorites of their favorites of your favorites keep scrolling by.
