We hope you’re signed up and ready to join the largest social photography event in the world, the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk (WWPW), on October 11th. There are already more than 14,000 people signed up to nearly 1,000 walks in countries all over the world. As part of sponsoring the occasion, we’re aiming to help Kelby set a Guinness Record for largest social photography event in the world.
We’ve heard from a number of Flickr photo-walkers who have signed up to lead a Kelby event and many others who have picked one of the already established walks. Each walk can have up to 50 participants and they can be based on any theme, or none at all. It’s a great way to get together with your photographer friends and an even better way to make new ones. Be sure to look for your city or local area to get involved or sign up to lead a walk by October 1st.
As part of Kelby’s WWPW, participants can submit their best photo to the walk leaders, who will choose their favorite. The winner will get a year’s subscription to Kelby One, an enormous library of videos from experts to help you improve your photography and your processing skills. Winners from each walk will also be added to the overall international drawing, selected by Scott Kelby himself, with lots of cool prizes.
Be sure to sign up first on the Kelby WWPW site. Then come tell us about it at the Flickr group for the Kelby WWPW. You can also use the Flickr group to share all the photos you want to upload in addition to your top pic.
We look forward to seeing what you shoot!
