What have we been up to?
It’s been a busy month and before we get into full on holiday season mode, we wanted to do a quick catch up of some of what we worked on last month as well as what is headed our way.

Product Updates
Recently, we’ve pushed a couple of small updates that you may have noticed. For our desktop view, we’ve made some minor updates to the overlay design. If you are seeing a few items in slightly different locations, it’s true, they are! On mobile, we’ve introduced our Lightbox view, which was already available on desktop. We are continuing our work towards parity between the mobile and desktop experiences so these changes are helping with that goal. We’ll keep you in the loop, as more updates are made.
Join us for the Mobilizing for Monuments Road Trip
We recently announced an exciting journey that we started this week in partnership with our friends at The Conservation Alliance and Rivian. We hit the road to support and document the Mobilizing For Monuments initiative! This journey will help tell a story of the land that the Mobilizing for Monuments initiative is focused on protecting and show everyone following along on this road trip that these locations aren’t just visually stunning, but also sacred land to many communities, vital for business and precious to the outdoor community. Our stops include Dolores River Canyon Country in Co., Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni—Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument in Az., Avi Kwa Ame National Monument in Nv., and Chuckwalla and San Gabriel National Monuments in Ca. Learn more about this exciting road trip here and follow us on Instagram to join us on our travels.

Get to know Flickr Galleries
The Flickr galleries feature is a popular tool that Flickr members use to save and organize their favorite photos from other Flickr members’ sites. We recorded a quick tutorial on how to create a gallery and provided some tips on how others are using this great feature, in a recent Flickr blog post. If you haven’t seen the post yet, we hope you will take a moment to check it out here and start creating and sharing your Flickr galleries with others!
Fairs and Expos with the Library of Congress
Our friends at the Library of Congress recently uploaded a collection of stereographs which show some unique views of World’s Fairs, expositions and exhibitions. Stereographs are two, almost identical photos that are usually viewed through a stereoscope to provide the illusion of a three dimensional image. Check out this special album on the Library of Congress’ Flickr site and give them a follow so you don’t miss more historical moments in time, as they share them on Flickr.
