We’re celebrating World Photography Day on August 19th, and kicking off the party with a contest! We’re presenting 5 different categories that you can compete in, so check those categories out below and start digging through your Flickr sites to find your contenders.
Here are the categories you can compete in for this year’s World Photography Day contest:
Nature: Show us your view of the natural world around you. This category can include aerial shots, landscapes, underwater, astrophotography, weather, or anything else based in nature. Tag your photos with WPD23Nature.
People: Portraits, weddings, families, street photography and more, if you have a favorite photo with some people in it, this category is for you. Tag your photos with WPD23People.
Animals: This category is focused on wildlife, pets and insects. Show us the critters you’ve captured, we can’t wait to see them! Tag your photos with WPD23Animals.
Objects and structures: Show us your unique vision with this category made for architecture, abstract, still life, and other objects and gadgets of the photography world. Tag your photos with WPD23Objects.
Virtual: Our virtual photography category includes digital avatars, in-game photography, screen captures, and more. Tag your photos with WPD23Virtual.
How To Enter?
To join the party, you can add up to five (5) photos to the World Photography Day Contest 2023 group photo pool but only 1 photo per category. Then, tag them with one of the following category tags: WPD23Nature, WPD23People, WPD23Animals, WPD23Objects, or WPD23Virtual—depending on which category or categories you are entering.
Just remember, there is only one category tag per entry, please! You can enter each category, but need a separate photo with the corresponding tag to enter that category. The contest will remain open until September 8th, 2023, and winners will be announced on or about the third week in September.
