Peter Chen is a Singaporean fine arts photographer who has been photographing for close to 40 years. He has experience in commercial and wedding photography, and some of his works have been featured at hotels across the Southeast Asian island. Read on for his story.

Back in 2011, a Brooklyn-based cooperative called United Photo Industries (UPI) launched with a mission to “push the conversation forward and help develop new viable models for the photo industry.” UPI’s been busy ever since and currently hosts the third edition of Photoville.

Alex Benetel is from Sydney, Australia, and became interested in photography after taking a visual design course at the age of 16. She has since been published in Russia’s Harper’s Bazaar, showcased her work in Sydney, and has been fortunate enough to travel, meet, and collaborate with other artists.
We are excited to welcome the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library of the Graduate Institute Geneva to the Commons! Their initial batch of photographs shows content from the personal archives of Boris Souvarine, a communist activist, journalist and historian.
Lou Noble (aka Lou O’ Bedlam) defines himself with this simple statement on his site: “I take pictures, save lives, surf, eat pumpkin-related products. No big whup.” But for us, he’s a big whup. We found it necessary to get to know him more, especially because we selected Lou to join the judge panel for our inaugural 20under20 celebration, highlighting 20 talented young photographers on Flickr.
