One Luminar AI software license from Skylum
One Slide Strap from Peak Design

My name is Joris Vegter. I am 35 years old and live in Groningen, The Netherlands. I started photography four years ago with the birth of my first son and I soon realized that I loved it! What I like most about photography is showing people something they normally can’t see. That’s why macro photography became my passion.

Nature Category: Bogen by Sus@

Apart from the fact that I love to photograph colorful moments, especially sunsets and sunrises, I am a bit obsessed with nightscapes because they are very special to me. When I got up around 2 a.m. there was a special place that I wanted to take a picture of, and I’ve been planning that picture for over a year now. But when I got to my location (about 100 km from home) I could hardly see anything as it was very foggy. After getting excited for a few minutes, I thought about what I could do. Since these trees are on the way to my place, I knew that it is not so foggy here and as I love these larches very much, I decided to give it a try. Astronomical twilight had just begun when I arrived and the colors of the sky were beginning to change. So you can see the beginning of the morning in the picture on the left.

People Category: The Harpist by Iko-Ojo Mercy Haruna

I’m a United Kingdom based portrait and documentary photographer dedicated to documenting the fleeting moments of family life. I focus on stories that capture the beauty of the everyday as well as those that dive into deeper conversations about the complexities of motherhood. “The Harpist” is a photo of my friend playing the harp while our sons play in the corner of the room. It is one of my favourite photographs I’ve taken so far.

Objects & Structures Category: Art’otel Cologne by Achim Brandt

This photo was made in Cologne, Germany, showing the facade of a hotel. It’s one of the most loved locations in my town. I live in Cologne, working as a social worker here, too. I’m 63 years old and have been taking pictures for almost 50 years.
