Flickr and Yahoo are excited to participate in this year’s San Francisco Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29th, where we will have a strong contingent of staff and friends. We want Flickr community members to walk the route with us and take pictures from the best vantage point of all: inside the parade

Catalonia’s spectacular gorge

In Catalonia, Spain, the River Noguera Ribagorçana passes through the Serra del Montsec mountain system, creating a beautiful hiking destination called Congost de Mont-Rebei. The gorge features 1640-foot walls of limestone with embedded pathways for visitors to take in the gorgeous scenic views.

Shooting lava

Shibazakura Festival: Japan’s pink blooms

The perennial family of plants called Polemoniaceae — mostly known by the vibrantly pink flowers of the moss phlox species — bloom in dazzling fashion during the spring in Japan. The gardens of the Fuji Shibazakura Festival, Tokyo, and Hitsujiyama Park, Chichibu City, feature grand displays and arrangements of these plants.
